So while everyone else was probably hitting the clubs or something muchos cool like that, I decided to watch the new Weezer video for “Pork and Beans.” This ordinarily would not take up an entire Saturday night, but I found this blog post with all of the viral videos the music video references embedded in it. And I thought I knew everything that was ever hot on Youtube. Turns out there’s this badger with a flare for drama and a kid with an astonishingly low voice and… oh God, I’m even behind the times with geeks.
It’s strange. The Weezer song and video themselves seem sub-par compared to their little forays into Happy Days and The Muppet Show. The video especially seemed to lack any sort of cohesiveness and served only as a platform for their geek cred, yet it captured my attention enough to add hours to my daily YouTube raid.

I saw the Weezer video today, but I only could name about 5 or 6 of the viral videos, but I’ve never been a HUGE youtube fan, I usually just browse music videos. Also I never got my confirmation email so I;ll probably have to re-register, but I’ll be here with you soon Talia!
