Apparently Tori Amos and some hipster comic book types (when did comic illustration go from geeky to hip?) are throwing together a visual shindig of stories based on the music of Tori Amos called “Comic Book Tattoo.” And because a comic book wasn’t geeky hip enough, they’ve started a “workblog” to chronicle its creation, creatively named “Comic Blog Tattoo.

What makes this interesting? A) Tori Amos songs decidedly lack clear storylines and B) I have a sneaky feeling she thinks she’s Neil Gaiman.

I’m not really into the whole illustrate-a-music-act thing (though the Belle and Sebastian graphic novel, also released by Image Comics, looked pretty), a Tori Amos version of anything brings back fond memories of angsty teenage nights listening to “Under the Pink” on repeat.
